What is DFS value?
Value = projected points ÷ salary × 1000. It is the per-dollar efficiency that lets a $4,200 punt and an $11,000 superstar compete for the same lineup slots. Every cash game and tournament build starts with a value baseline.
How the calculator works
Enter your projection and the site salary. The tool returns points per $1k, the cash-game verdict against the 3× threshold, and the raw break-even points for the salary you entered.
Common use cases
- Finding the night's punts that let you afford two studs
- Checking whether a big salary can actually hit 3×
- Comparing the same player's price across DraftKings and FanDuel
Formula & honesty
Value is only as good as your projection — the math is trivial, the forecasting is the job. Tournaments need upside beyond raw value; cash games reward it directly.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is 3x value?
Three projected points per $1,000 of salary — the traditional cash-game break-even.
Is higher value always better?
For cash games, mostly. In tournaments, ceiling matters as much as efficiency.
Does it work for both sites?
Yes — value is site-agnostic; just enter the salary from the site you're playing.
