Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enter innings pitched?

Baseball notation: 6.1 means six and one-third innings. The calculator converts it to decimal automatically.

What is a good WHIP?

Below 1.10 is elite, around 1.30 is league average, and above 1.50 usually signals control problems.

Why is your WAR labelled an estimate?

Official WAR needs pitch-framing, defense and park factors. Our version uses offensive runs above average plus positional and replacement adjustments — great for sanity checks, not for record books.
