Dynasty Trade Calculator

Age-adjusted dynasty trade evaluation — peak-age players hold value, Father Time taxes the rest.

What makes dynasty trades different?

In redraft leagues every player is worth his season. In dynasty, a 24-year-old breakout and a 31-year-old volume back with the same 2026 stat line are not the same asset — one repeats it four more times. Age curves are the entire game.

How the calculator works

Each player's value is multiplied by an age factor peaking at 26 and declining 5.5% per year away from it (floored at 0.4). Totals are compared with the same verdict scale as the redraft tool. Enter values on any scale you trust, plus ages for both sides.

Common use cases

  • Deciding whether to sell a 30-year-old star at peak price
  • Buying the 23-year-old breakout before the market reprices
  • Rebuilding: converting aging value into picks and youth

Formula & caveats

Position matters: running backs age like milk (decline often starts at 27), receivers like wine. Apply the factor, then adjust by eye for position and contract.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is 26 the peak?

Studies of NFL skill-position production cluster peak seasons at 24–27, centered on 26.

Should RBs be discounted more?

Usually yes — many managers start RB decline at 27 rather than 28. Adjust the input values accordingly.

Do draft picks get an age factor?

No — enter picks as raw value on the same scale without ages.
